BEYU CAFFE GRAND REOPENING (BEYU 2.0) THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2016

FfOLLOWING PROVIDED BY DORIAN:  "Keeping my Beyu family in the loop Dear Beyu friends and family, Dorian here.  Regrettably, I have decided to delay Beyu Caffe's opening that was set for Thursday, May 19th.  Instead, we will launch with our Grand Opening the following week, starting Thursday, May 26th.   Although we have successfully passed some of our final inspections and plan to pass all remaining inspections over the next couple of days, we want to reassure our loyal customers that we open successfully and not rush to open with less than stellar service. More importantly, we want to provide a solid date for opening versus trying to anticipate day-to-day while we complete our final inspections.  It has been both painfully and financially difficult not to be open during the month of May -- missing the Art of Cool Festival, ACC Tournament, graduation weekends, and now MoogFest. Most importantly, we truly miss seeing your friendly faces!  However, our entire team has been amazing over the past few weeks. We've managed to complete in 4 months, what was a 7-month construction project due to so many dedicated folks working hard and genuinely wanting us to get up and running quickly. We thank you for your patience as we finalize everything for our Grand Opening and we are all excited to share the new Beyu Caffe 2.0 with you next week!  Details will follow soon for ticketed events to celebrate our grand opening.  See you soon! He readily admits that, while he might not play the most technical or musically complex jazz, he plays music that feels good, brightens days, and ensures that a listener enjoys hearing it as much as he enjoys playing it. And it’s obvious when he’s on stage that he’s in love with what he’s doing.

Monk, Terrell Stafford, Tim Warfield, Adonis Rose, Mr. Jimmy Heath, Bob Mintzer… just to name a few.

What an outstanding accomplishment.  The Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble takes second place in the Essentially Ellington competition at Jazz At Lincoln Center in NYC.

The Diasporic Suite is a original work that presents the beauty and richness of many styles of folkloric Latin/Central American rhythms that find their roots in various cultures of the African Diaspora. It contains Puerto Rican traditional styles (Bomba/Plena), Cuban styles (Rumba/Santeria), and Brazilian styles (Samba Duro). Traditional interludes that pull from religious Cuban music intertwine the full band compositions.
