GOOD JAZZ SOUNDS AVAILABLE

The Michael Jones Trio will be doing their  thing this Thursday night at BEYU.  Check out my blog post from Feb. 5 for a sample of how good they are.  I recommend this for a good time.  7-9pm. free. Ryan Hanseler kicks off Java Jazz tonight at BEYU.  Ryan's piano is always good to hear. 6 - 8:30pm free. 

NCCU JAZZ VOCAL ENSEMBLE

This organization does great stuff.  See their video clips in my post and check them out on facebook.  They need help getting a new microphone system. When you hear that they will be in performance make it a point to go hear them.  I enjoy them and think you will too - especially if you dig groups like Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross!

Clark Terry passed away on Feb. 21, 2015.  Here's a little something of what he left us to enjoy.  Oh yeah, just check out who's in his company on this classic performance and to whom they chose to dedicate the piece.  WOW!
