ANOTHER SATURDAY HAPPENING - JIM KETCH PLUS
JIM KETCH AND TOP STUDENTS FROM UNC WILL BE AT THE STATION IN CARRBORO AT 2PM. FREE SATURDAY 10/01/2016!
DURHAM JAZZ RESERVOIR FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY NIGHT 9/30 -10/01/16
A great time to be in Durham, NC. If you're looking to hear a great jazz piano player get to Sharp Nine tonight! Lovell Bradford will make you glad you stopped in.
Tomorrow night - Saturday at Sharp Nine will pull together two seasoned jazz folks, Baron Tymas on guitar and Thomas Taylor on drums, with two more recent entries into the jazz performing world, Annalise Stalls on sax/woodwinds and Aaron Gross on bass. Personal experience would prompt me to go see anyone of these musicians on their own. The four of them together, WOW!!
Tomorrow night - Saturday at Duke University John Brown and his bands will offer you a wonderful treat. Cyrus Chestnut will be playing piano AND the program will be delving into the wonderful music of Erroll Garner AND there are many discounts available, including $10.00 for 65 years of age or older AND it is happening at Baldwin Auditorium. Baldwin Auditorium is a jazz heaven - not a bad seat in the house (at least that I can tell from an acoustic standpoint)!
GOOD TO BE IN DURHAM, NC RIGHT NOW!! THE JAZZ RESERVOIR TAP IS OPEN!!!
