The UNC Jazz Sextet directed by Jim Ketch The UNC Jazz Sextet is the top combo in the UNC-Chapel Hill Jazz department. It consists of lower and upperclassmen/women who are music majors with differing backgrounds. The ensemble performs music from many broad reaching styles in the jazz idiom and also delves into the world of popular contemporary American and latin styles. Students have the great opportunity to be coached by Professor Jim Ketch and perform often in the Triangle Area.
