Monday night, May 22, from 7:00 to 9:30, Nationally recognized, and the State’s premier youth jazz ensemble, the Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra will be at thePittsboro Roadhouse.
Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble: This big band of high school musicians from the region is based in Raleigh and is directed Dr. Gregg Gelb. In 2016, The Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra was selected to go to the finals for a National Jazz Competition at the Lincoln Center in New York City……Earning second place! The Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra are the first and only group from North Carolina selected for this honor. This year, 2017, the Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra was a finalist again at the Essentially Ellington Festival in NYC and received numerous awards…..!!
